Note: Already have an account? Just log in and skip to Step 3.
You Are on the Dashboard
After signing up, you land directly on your developer dashboard. This is your earnings hub -- it shows your current balance, session history, payout options, and your editor sync status. Take a quick look around before moving on.
Open VS Code
Switch over to VS Code (or Cursor). Make sure the .vsix file you downloaded in Step 0 is accessible. You are about to install the CLIMoney extension directly into your IDE.
Note: CLIMoney works with VS Code and Cursor. Both are supported.

- 1Click the Extensions icon in the left Activity Bar (it looks like four squares).
- 2Click the three-dot menu ( ··· ) at the top right of the Extensions panel.

From the three-dot menu inside the CLIMoney panel, click "Connect Account". This will open the CLIMoney Dashboard in your browser automatically.
Note: Your dashboard will open at the account sync page.
Sync Your Editor and Start Earning
On the dashboard page that just opened, click "Sync Editor". Then switch back to VS Code -- a confirmation popup will appear asking if you want to connect your account. Click "Yes". That is it. Your account is now linked to your editor.
You are all set. CLIMoney will now start earning you passive income every time you wait for AI responses, compiler runs, or test suites to finish.
